Relocating to Barbados, setting up a holiday home or supplying a business? A container from the UK keeps your goods secure from loading to delivery. Book a whole 20ft or 40ft container (FCL) or share one and pay only for your space (LCL). We collect anywhere in the UK, handle the export paperwork and shipping to Bridgetown, help with Barbados customs and deliver to your door.

Full container or shared container
-
Full container (FCL). You book a whole 20ft or 40ft container for your goods only. It's loaded at your address or our warehouse, sealed, and only opened at customs. Best for house moves, vehicles and business stock.
-
Shared container (LCL). Your goods share a container with other customers' cargo, and you pay only for the space you use. Best for a few pieces of furniture, appliances or a room's worth of belongings.

Full or shared container shipping to Barbados
A full container (FCL) is yours alone, loaded and sealed in the UK, and the natural choice for a whole-house move, a car plus furniture or business stock. A shared container (LCL) is ideal when you have more than a few barrels' worth but not enough to fill a container: you pay only for the space you use.
A 20ft container usually takes the contents of a one- to two-bedroom home; a 40ft takes a three- to four-bedroom home or a car with household goods.
How it works
- Get a quote. Send us your list, UK postcode and Barbados address through our contact form or call 020 3086 7592.
- Loading or collection. We drop an empty container at your address for FCL, or collect your items for a shared container. Drop-offs at our Barking warehouse are welcome too.
- Export and sailing. We prepare the export documents and the container sails from a UK port such as Southampton, Felixstowe or London Gateway.
- Arrival. The container arrives at Bridgetown Port and is cleared by the Barbados Customs and Excise Department.
- Delivery. We deliver to your door anywhere on the island.
Shipping times to Bridgetown
Container shipping from the UK to Barbados usually takes 4 to 6 weeks door to door. Barbados is often one of the first Eastern Caribbean calls, but times still depend on the sailing schedule and customs. We confirm dates when you book.
Where we deliver in Barbados
We deliver to all 11 parishes, including Bridgetown, Holetown, Speightstown, Oistins, Christ Church, St Philip and St Michael.
Customs and returning nationals
You will need a detailed packing list with values and a copy of your passport. Import duty, VAT and other charges may apply depending on the goods.
Returning Barbadian nationals may qualify for duty concessions on household and personal effects, and in some cases a vehicle. Check your eligibility with the Barbados Customs and Excise Department before you ship, and tell us when you book so the paperwork matches.
Good to know for Barbados
Many Barbados homes are on narrow roads, so a full container may need to be unpacked at the port and delivered by a smaller truck. Tell us about access at the delivery address when you request your quote.
What you can and can't pack
Furniture, appliances, clothing, tools, building materials and non-perishable food are all fine. Do not pack firearms or ammunition, illegal drugs, flammable items, counterfeit goods or perishable food. Medicines, plants, seeds, meat and dairy need permits.
Container, barrels or a vehicle?
For smaller amounts, barrel shipping to Barbados is usually cheaper. Cars can travel in a container; see vehicle shipping. For everything we offer, visit our Barbados shipping page.
