Full container or shared container

  • Full container (FCL). You book a whole 20ft or 40ft container for your goods only. It's loaded at your address or our warehouse, sealed, and only opened at customs. Best for house moves, vehicles and business stock.

  • Shared container (LCL). Your goods share a container with other customers' cargo, and you pay only for the space you use. Best for a few pieces of furniture, appliances or a room's worth of belongings.

Full or shared containers to Grenada

A full container (FCL) is loaded and sealed for you alone, perfect for a full house move, a car plus furniture or building supplies. A shared container (LCL) lets you send a smaller load and pay only for the space it takes.

A 20ft container usually holds a one- to two-bedroom home; a 40ft holds a three- to four-bedroom home or a car with household goods.

How it works

  1. Get a quote. Send your list, UK postcode and Grenada address through our contact form or call 020 3086 7592.
  2. Loading or collection. We bring an empty container for FCL or collect your items for LCL. You can also drop off at our Barking warehouse.
  3. Export and sailing. We prepare the export paperwork and the container sails from a UK port such as Southampton, Felixstowe or London Gateway.
  4. Arrival. The container arrives at St George's Port and is cleared by the Customs and Excise Division.
  5. Delivery. We deliver to your door in Grenada, or arrange onward shipping to Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Shipping times to St George's

Customs and returning nationals

You will need a detailed packing list with values and a copy of your passport. Import duty and VAT may apply depending on the goods.

Returning Grenadian nationals may qualify for duty concessions on household and personal effects, and in some cases a vehicle and building materials. Check your eligibility with the Customs and Excise Division before you ship, and tell us when you book.

Good to know for Grenada

Lots of our Grenada customers are building or finishing a home. Tiles, sanitary ware, doors and fittings travel well in a container. Include them on the packing list with their values so any concessions can be applied.

What you can and can't pack

Furniture, appliances, clothing, tools, building materials and non-perishable food are all fine. Do not pack firearms or ammunition, illegal drugs, flammable items, counterfeit goods or perishable food. Medicines, plants, seeds, meat and dairy need permits.

Container, barrels or a vehicle?

For smaller amounts, barrel shipping to Grenada is usually cheaper. Cars can travel in a container; see vehicle shipping. For all our services, visit our Grenada shipping page.
