Full container or shared container

  • Full container (FCL). You book a whole 20ft or 40ft container for your goods only. It's loaded at your address or our warehouse, sealed, and only opened at customs. Best for house moves, vehicles and business stock.

  • Shared container (LCL). Your goods share a container with other customers' cargo, and you pay only for the space you use. Best for a few pieces of furniture, appliances or a room's worth of belongings.

Full or shared containers to St Vincent

A full container (FCL) is a 20ft or 40ft container for your goods only, sealed in the UK and opened at customs in Kingstown. It suits house moves, vehicles with furniture and building supplies. A shared container (LCL) lets you send a smaller load and pay only for its space.

A 20ft container usually holds a one- to two-bedroom home; a 40ft holds a three- to four-bedroom home or a car with household goods.

How it works

  1. Get a quote. Send your list, UK postcode and delivery address through our contact form or call 020 3086 7592.
  2. Loading or collection. We bring an empty container for FCL, collect your items for LCL, or you drop off at our Barking warehouse.
  3. Export and sailing. We prepare the export paperwork and the container sails from a UK port such as Southampton, Felixstowe or London Gateway.
  4. Arrival. The container arrives at the Campden Park container port near Kingstown and is cleared by the Customs and Excise Department.
  5. Delivery. We deliver to your door on St Vincent, or arrange onward shipping to Bequia, Union Island and the other Grenadines.

Shipping times to Kingstown

Container shipping from the UK to St Vincent usually takes 4 to 6 weeks door to door, depending on the sailing schedule and customs. Allow extra time for the Grenadines. We confirm the sailing date when you book.

Where we deliver

We deliver across St Vincent, including Kingstown, Arnos Vale, Calliaqua, Mesopotamia, Georgetown, Layou and Barrouallie, and to Bequia, Canouan, Mustique and Union Island on request.

Customs and returning nationals

You will need a detailed packing list with values and a copy of your passport. Import duty and VAT may apply depending on the goods.

Returning Vincentian nationals may qualify for duty concessions on household and personal effects, and in some cases a vehicle. Check your eligibility with the Customs and Excise Department before you ship, and let us know when you book.

Good to know for the Grenadines

Containers for the Grenadines are usually cleared and unpacked in St Vincent, then the goods travel on by inter-island cargo boat. Tell us early if your delivery is on Bequia or another island, so we can plan the timing.

What you can and can't pack

Furniture, appliances, clothing, tools, building materials and non-perishable food are all fine. Do not pack firearms or ammunition, illegal drugs, flammable items, counterfeit goods or perishable food. Medicines, plants, seeds, meat and dairy need permits.

Container, barrels or a vehicle?

A container is best value for large volumes; for smaller amounts, barrels are usually cheaper. Cars can travel in a container; see vehicle shipping. For all our services, visit our St Vincent shipping page.
